I've always had a strong desire to help others understand the past as a devoted family historian and genealogist. But the traditional methods of storytelling, while rich and detailed, often felt time-consuming and slightly out of step with our fast-paced, digital world. I knew there had to be a quicker, more dynamic way to approach ancestral storytelling—a way that could resonate with all generations, especially in this era of technology.

Facing the Challenges

My journey wasn't without its challenges. The traditional process of ancestral storytelling, deeply rooted in meticulous research and narrative crafting, was daunting. It was a labour of love, but often the enormity of the task made it feel overwhelming. There were times I felt disconnected from the very stories I sought to tell, bogged down by the sheer volume of data and the pressure to do justice to my ancestors' experiences. Furthermore, engaging a younger, tech-savvy audience seemed like an uphill battle.

Embracing Technology

Determined to find a solution, I embarked on a journey to explore how modern technology could intersect with traditional genealogy. My search led me to the world of artificial intelligence (AI). I delved into the latest advancements, attended seminars, and experimented with various AI tools. I was searching for something that could not only streamline the storytelling process but also add a layer of creativity and interactivity that was missing.

The breakthrough came when I discovered the potential of AI tools like ChatGPT for crafting ancestral stories. It was a revelation. AI could analyse data, suggest narrative pathways, and even help visualise the past in vibrant ways I had never imagined. This wasn't just a tool; it was a partner in storytelling.
